Turkish drone-making defense company recently announced that they are working on an unmanned combat aircraft. Baykar is a Turkey-based defense company that specializes in UAVs, C4I, and artificial intelligence fields.

Baykar has started the design phase of the concept of the aircraft and planning to use Ukrainian-made jet engines in the aircraft. This aircraft is known by the name Combat Unmanned Aerial System (MiUS)

According to the reports, this new aircraft can carry a weapon load of  1.5 tons including air-to-air missiles, cruise missiles, and precision bombs. This aircraft will be able to fly at a speed of 1.4 Mach. MiUS will be powered with AI 25 Ukrainian-built turbofan engine. With its AI features, MiUS will be operational with F-16s and later fifth-generation fighters.

The company released official renderings of the aircraft showing how it is operational with Turkey’s first amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu on social media.
