As aviation fans, we all love the United States Navy Blue Angels demonstration team. Some of us are even so lucky to watch them perform live. As true Blue Angel fans, we all know that they Fly the F/A-18 Super Hornets. Even if the first flight of F/A-18s took place 43 years ago, this aircraft is still a hell of a machine. Especially when Blue Angels have their hands on them it is glorious to watch.

Super Hornets are so cool, but that was not the only fighter that Blue Angels flew. Since Blue Angels was founded by Chester W. Nimitz back on April 24, 1946, they have used a number of great aircraft.

Out of all the great aircraft, Blue Angels flew performing those awesome demonstrations, we cannot forget the F-4J Phantom II. They started using the two-seat McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II in 1969. Now the F-4 Phantom II is a beast of an aircraft that is powered by General Electric J79 engines with a top speed of 2,370 km/h.

We cannot see the Blue Angels performing in F-4 Phantom IIs live today, but the following video will definitely bring back awesome memories of those good old times.
