Warthog Is Already Awesome, What If A Super A-10 Warthog Is Coming
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is already around 40 years old, but A-10 is the enemy’s worst nightmare in the field. Nobody wants to be on the enemy’s side when an A-10 is flying around and they fear it a lot. Well, they should be because as we know this aircraft is built around General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger 30mm cannon.
The A-10 Warthog is already in process of getting new wings and a lot of new improvements. This aircraft will get upgrades with new weapons, cockpit upgrades, and helmet-mounted controls.
Even if USAF has considered retiring the A-10 earlier, the kind of firepower A-10 has combined with its 30mm canon, titanium armor plate, and built-in capabilities for close air support are just some of the reasons that A-10 has been very successful. So what other aircraft will be a better replacement than a better version of the A-10 Thunderbolt II?
Find out what else is coming for A-10 with these new upgrades below.
