British Typhoon Fighters Intercept 4 Russian Military Aircraft
British Air Force said on Wednesday that they scrambled fighter jets to intercept 4 Russian military aircraft which were approaching the UK’s airspace.
The Royal Air Force said that 4 of the Russian bomber aircraft were intercepted and escorted before they enter the UK’s airspace.
Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets took off from the British Air Force base Lossiemouth, northeast Scotland, and were later joined by an RAF Voyager air-to-air refueling aircraft. The refueling tanker was launched from Oxfordshire, England.
