S-92® Helicopter

With more than 2.2 million fleet flight hours the S-92® helicopter is the industry’s standard for safety and reliability. The S-92 helicopter performs a variety of missions, including offshore energy transportation, search and rescue, Head of State, and airline missions.

Thirteen nations have selected the S-92 helicopter for their critical Head of State missions. In May 2014, Sikorsky was honored to win the U.S. Navy Contract to Replace ‘Marine One’ Helicopter Fleet and the vote of confidence in the S-92 helicopter as a proven and trusted platform. The VH-92A will execute the presidential world-wide vertical-lift mission using an FAA-certified S-92 aircraft.

S-92A+™ UNMATCHED ADVANTAGES ___

Sikorsky is bringing new technology to the S-92® fleet. The S-92A+™ helicopter is the latest model of the venerable platform, building upon a legacy track record of performance and proven technology with new features for improved safety, reliability and capability.

The S-92A+ helicopter features two new General Electric CT7-8A6 turboshaft engines, offering more power in higher altitudes and hotter temperatures. Gross Weight Expansion (GWE) with LifePlus™ gives you 1,200 lbs of extra payload. The new model also includes the Phase IV Main Gearbox with auxiliary lubrication system for enhanced safety, eliminating “land immediately” scenarios in the event of a loss of primary lubrication.
